The web project "ПНИЛ ПМ" (Problematic Research Laboratory of Advanced Materials, PNIL PM) was established on October 1, 1980, based on the order of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus and a decree of the Ministry of Education. Its main goal was to attract university professors, doctoral candidates, graduate students to scientific research within current scientific directions. Initially, the laboratory focused on research in the field of physical and chemical mechanics of processes. Its first scientific leader was academician, doctor of physics and mathematics, professor B.V. Bokut, who was also the rector of the university at that time. Scientists of the laboratory developed a series of experimental devices for investigating material properties, diagnosing and active control of various machines and technological processes.
