This website is dedicated to the research results disproving the common belief that using gas instead of gasoline is a necessary measure. Gas as a fuel burns more efficiently, resulting in a significantly lower concentration of carbon monoxide in the exhaust of a gas engine. A gasoline-powered car emits hydrocarbons and harmful substances such as sulfurous gas, formed from the combustion of sulfur components in fuel, and tetraethyl lead. Natural gas, on the other hand, typically contains no sulfur, so the exhaust of a gas engine does not contain sulfurous gas or lead compounds. In the exhaust of a gasoline engine, there is often unburnt carbon monoxide (CO) – a toxic substance for humans. Both gasoline and gas-powered cars emit the same amount of hydrocarbons.
