The Department of Information and Public Relations of the October District Executive Committee is the main organ of information and public relations policy of the executive power in the October District.

The department performs the following functions:

- preparation, publication and dissemination of information about the activities of the October District Executive Committee, its structural subordinate organizations, local executive and legislative bodies, as well as other public authorities and organizations in the district;
- implementation of information policy in the interests of the October District Executive Committee;
- organization of press tours, briefings, interviews, press conferences, round tables, and other events for the media;
- creation, updating, and maintenance of the official website of the October District Executive Committee;
- preparation, publication and distribution of informational, advertising, and promotional materials;
- organization and holding of cultural, educational, sports, and other events;
- implementation of other tasks in the field of information and public relations.
