NATIONAL COORDINATION CENTRE ON ACCESS TO GENETIC RESOURCES AND BENEFIT-SHARING – Checkpoint for monitoring the utilization of genetic resources of the Republic of Belarus

The portal is a national coordination centre dedicated to the management and benefit-sharing of genetic resources in the Republic of Belarus, in accordance with the Nagoya Protocol. It provides information on access procedures, monitoring, realized transfers, and related publications. Users can find news from Belarus and globally, as well as legal frameworks and legislation related to genetic resources. The site offers resources on traditional knowledge, experts, and projects related to capacity building and safeguarding traditional knowledge. Additionally, it includes information on access to genetic resources and associated traditional knowledge, as well as interviews with traditional knowledge holders and recommendations submitted to ministries. The portal serves as a checkpoint for monitoring the utilization of genetic resources in Belarus and offers support to the preparation of national reports on the implementation of the Nagoya Protocol.
