This enterprise is the Western Siberian Metallurgical Combine (Zapadno-Sibirskij Metallurgicheskij Kombinat, or ZSMK), a large metallurgical plant located in Novokuznetsk, Kemerovo Oblast, Russia. It is one of the largest metallurgical combines in the CIS and the fifth largest in Russia. The company has been identified as a significant client for Eurikom-Kuzbass, a security firm. In August 2009, the governor of Kemerovo Oblast recognized the need for state support to financially stabilize and develop ZSMK. Additionally, in March 2009, the implementation of a SAP Business Suite project aimed to establish a modern corporate management system for ZSMK, providing the necessary information for effective company management.
