Верасы

The organization Verasy is a Belarusian vocal-instrumental ensemble founded in 1971 as an ensemble for political songs. The group is best known for its hits "Maliovka," "Karnaval," and "I Live with My Grandma" (lyrics by I. Shaferan, music by E. Hanka). Verasy gained attention for their unique singing style and clear intonation after their first tour in 1971. The ensemble consisted of only two members, Lika Yalinskaya and Vasiliy Rainchik, by 1988. Verasy did not initially want to perform "Maliovka."
