ФОНД ПОДДЕРЖКИ НЕЗАВИСИМОЙ ПРЕССЫ

The organization, "Fond Podderzhki Nezavisimoj Pressy" (Fund for Supporting Independent Press), is a Belarusian nonprofit focusing on the promotion and support of independent and pluralistic media in Africa and the professional development of photojournalism on an international level. The fund also aims to create a database of independent African press for documentation purposes and to seek capital sources for its foundation. Additionally, the organization supports cultural cooperation within the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) by creating a Fund for Cultural Cooperation within the CIS. Members of the fund can be both states and legal or physical entities sharing its goals and participating in its development. The organization has been hosting the World Press Photo exhibition in Moscow since 2007.
