ПРЕОБРАЖЕНСКАЯ ЦЕРКОВЬ

The organization is a church named Preobrazhenskaya Tserkov located in Polotsk, Belarus. It was originally a Calvinist church but was converted into a Russian Orthodox church in the 1860s. The church is a rectangular, domeless building with no apse. It is nominated for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List and is traditionally the site of celebrations on June 5th in memory of Saint Efrosinia of Polotsk. The church underwent restoration in 1840 and 1864-1865, with funding from the government and donations.
