This enterprise, named Chervень, is a small town located in the Minskaya oblast of Belarus, serving as the administrative center of the Chervensky district. The first recorded mention of the town dates back to 1387. From the early 15th century, the Igumen estate, which included the town, belonged to the Kiezgailovich family. Chervень is known for its historical landmarks, including the Krestovozdvizhensky Catholic church, a school, and several cemeteries, including Jewish, Catholic, and Catholic chapels on the graves. In 1969, a milk factory was opened in the town, and a monument was erected in honor of the liberation of Chervень from Nazi occupation in 1944. Chervень was previously known as Igumen until 1923
