The organization Nefteperegonnyj Zavod Mozyr is a nefteperegonnyj zavod, or oil refinery, located in Mozyr, Belarus. The city of Mozyr also houses a chemical combinat, making it an important industrial center in the region. For every tonne of crude oil processed, approximately 95 cubic meters of natural gas are produced as a byproduct. This natural gas is valuable as both a chemical feedstock and a fuel source. The first industrial oil discovery in Belarus occurred in 1964 near Rechitsa, and since then over 100 million tonnes of oil have been extracted. Nefteperegonnyj Zavod Mozyr and the chemical combinat are significant contributors to the local economy and industrial output.
