The organization "Museum of the History of the Belarusian Railway" was established in 1971 by former head of the Belarusian Railway, Yuushkevich E.P., and the head of the Railroad Center prior to the creation of the railway museum on the eve of the centenary of the Belarusian railway system. The museum's origins can be traced back to the creation of an department of railway technology in the Museum of the History of Baranovichi Railway Division of the Belarusian Railway in 1999. The museum is located near the Baranovichi-Poleskie railway station, in a small pine grove.
