The business Polimir OAO is a leading enterprise in the Belarusian petrochemical industry. It has been awarded and is part of Belneftekhim State Concern of Belarus (<http://www.belneftekhim.by/>). Established in 1968, the company is located on an area of 800 hectares and comprises five production sites with thirty main and auxiliary factories. It is one of the largest enterprises in the chemical industry of Belarus, owned by OAO "Naftan". The technology base of Polimir OAO relies on pyrolysis of petroleum feedstock, including benzene and light hydrocarbon fractions from oil and gas refineries.
