It is classified as one of the 'bitter teas'. Kudin tea has white or yellowish flowers that bloom in April and bear fruit in November. Its scientific name is Lactuca taiwaniana. The name Kudin is also associated with M.V. Kudin, a botanist who began his career in the Berezinski Biosphere Reserve and rose to become its deputy director for research. Another reference to Kudin is of a Belarusian kickboxer, Alexey Kudin, who competed in the European Championship in Moscow in 2008.
