ПРИХОД КОСТЕЛА ПОСЕЩЕНИЯ МАТЕРИ БОЖИЕЙ ТРОКЕЛЬСКОЙ

This company is the parish of the Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Trokeli, in the Voronovo District of the Grodno Region, within the Grodno Eparchy of the Belarusian Orthodox Church. The church, built in 1500 AD by Vilnius voevode Martin Gasholt, houses an icon of the Roman iconography of the Blessed Virgin Mary, believed to have been brought to the parish around 1595 from Vilnius. The icon, known as the Trokelskaya Ikoна, is a copy of the Our Lady of the Snows, and is a subject of reverence and pilgrimage for locals and visitors. The parish also maintains a sanctuary dedicated to the Mother of God in Trokeli.
