The organization "Belarusian Society of Disabled People" (OO "BelOI") was established on July 8, 1988, following a conference of disabled people's representatives from all regions of Belarus. The organization has branches in six regions and the capital city, as well as over 110 local and city organizations. Its mission is to protect the rights, freedoms, and legal interests of its members and their families, and to provide them with legal assistance. The organization's activities are regulated by its charter and carried out in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Belarus. The Belarusian Society of Disabled People has an information center for people with disabilities and runs various projects to support and empower its members.
