The origin of this organization can be traced back to 1928 when the Samara Regional Station of Young Naturalists was established in accordance with a decree from the Samara Governorate Education Department. Since then, it has undergone several name changes and transformations. In 1991, it was renamed the Republican Ecological Center for Students in accordance with the Ministry of Education of the Byelorussian SSR. In June of that same year, it was opened in collaboration with the Biological Faculty of Belarusian State University.
