The insulation is done using expanded polyurethane (PPU). Thermally insulated pipes consist of a steel pipe with an outer layer of rigid PPU insulation. The use of rigid PPU for insulating pipelines in heating and water supply systems is driven by the unique properties of PPU, such as: the lowest coefficient of thermal conductivity; durability (minimum 30 years); high processing technology; reliable anti-corrosion protection for pipelines; sound insulation; and the ability to insulate components of any size and configuration. The PPU insulation applied to the steel surface of the pipe has a protective outer coating. Thermally insulated pipes with a polyethylene outer coating are designed
