This company is a division of the State Judicial Medical Expertise, part of the Belarusian Ministry of Health. It specializes in the production of judicial medical expertise and determination of kinship through biological methods. The company was established in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 112, dated January 28, 1997. The control over the proper storage of evidence is ensured by the head of the general expertise department or the head of city, district, or interdistrict sudebno-meditsinskoye ekspertizy (judicial medical expertise) offices.
