КОЛХОЗ КОМИНТЕРН

The business: Kolkhoz Komintern is a collective farm located in Buda-Koshlevskyy Region, Orshansky District, Vitebsk Oblast, Belarus. The farm was established in 1930 and was named after the Communist International. The village where the kolkhoz is situated had two windmills and four blacksmith shops operating at that time. During World War II and the partisan struggle, 294 residents of the village and neighboring villages in the collective farm "October" lost their lives. The village of Babchyn, which is also mentioned in relation to this kolkhoz, was organized in 1930 with the establishment of collective farms "Komintern" and "October".
