ФОНД ПОСТРАДАВШИХ ОТ НАЦИЗМА

The business, FOND POSTRADAVSHIH OT NACIZMA (Fund for Victims of Nazism), was established in response to Austria's voluntary payments of over 4,300 compensation claims to Belarusian victims of Nazism in 2008. The Austrian Reconciliation Fund was set up that year to facilitate these payments. According to Belarusian sources, the Belarusian Republican Foundation for Reconciliation and Understanding has provided financial assistance to over 140,000 people who suffered under Nazism since its inception in 1993, with a total of 190 million German marks disbursed. The fund has also provided aid for those affected by natural disasters and assisted former prisoners.
