The Republic Centre for Technology Transfer (RCTT) was established on 11th March 1999 as an affiliated entity of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB). The RCTT was created to provide a centralized mechanism for transferring, licensing and commercializing NASB-developed technologies. The Centre was set up with the primary goal of increasing the utilization of NASB research and development activities, as well as generating revenue to support further research activities.

The RCTT operates under the auspices of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus (GKNT) and is a member of the European Patent Office's European Patent Office's European Technology Transfer Network (ETTN) and the European Association of Research and Technology Organisations (EARTO).

The Centre's activities include:

1. Identifying and evaluating potential technologies for commercialization.
2. Protecting intellectual property through patents and other forms of legal protection.
3. Finding industrial partners to collaborate with and license technologies.
4. Negotiating and drafting licensing and collaboration agreements.
5. Providing consulting services to help industrial partners bring new products to market.
6. Facilitating the transfer of know-how and expertise from NASB to industry.
7. Providing training and education to NASB staff and industrial partners on technology transfer and commercialization.

The RCTT has a team of experienced technology transfer professionals and scientists, who work closely with NASB researchers and industrial partners to identify potential commercial opportunities and facilitate technology transfer. The Centre has a strong track record of successful technology transfer and commercialization, with numerous agreements signed and products brought to market.
