Ariel is a fictional character, the main heroine of Disney's 1989 full-length animated film "The Little Mermaid", based on Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale. Ariel, also known as Belle in English, is a mermaid princess who longs to be human and falls in love with Prince Eric. The film was produced by Walt Disney Productions.
