## The Problem of the Unemployed Graduates in Belarus

Despite the relatively high employment rate in Belarus, the problem of the unemployed graduates remains pressing. According to the Belarusian State Statistics Committee, in 2021, the unemployment rate among the population aged 15-24 was 13.5%. This figure is higher than the average unemployment rate in the country, which is 3.5%.

The main reasons for the high unemployment rate among young people are the mismatch between the skills of graduates and the labor market needs, the lack of effective employment services, and the limited opportunities for entrepreneurship and self-employment.

The Belarusian education system focuses on theoretical knowledge, leaving little room for practical skills development. As a result, many graduates lack the necessary skills to enter the labor market or are overqualified for the available jobs.

The employment services in Belarus also face challenges in helping unemployed graduates find jobs. These services often lack the resources and expertise to effectively match graduates with job opportunities. In addition, the bureaucratic procedures and red tape associated with the Belarusian labor market make it difficult for employers to hire new graduates.

Entrepreneurship and self-employment can provide an alternative path for unemployed graduates, but these opportunities are limited in Belarus. The Belarusian government has implemented various measures to support entrepreneurship, but these measures are not sufficient to address the needs of unemployed graduates.

To address the problem of the unemployed graduates in Belarus, a comprehensive approach is needed. This approach should include the following measures:
