The portal OpenDoors.by is a project by UNFPA and 'All Possible, Inclusive Sports Team' sharing stories of young people with autism living among us. It highlights the challenges faced by these individuals in fully realizing their rights and participating in society. According to WHO, one in 100 children has some form of autism spectrum disorder, a figure that varies in different studies. People with autism often struggle to fully engage in various aspects of life and face barriers to inclusion. The project focuses on themes such as the transition of young people to adult life, inclusion in the workplace, and accessible education. The stories are shared by journalist and mother Irina Dergach, who interviews the young people and their families. The project aims to promote self-determination and independent living for young people with autism.
