ФЕДЕРАЛЬНАЯ СЛУЖБА ГОСУДАРСТВЕННОЙ СТАТИСТИКИ

This enterprise, Федеralная служба государственной статистики (Federal Service for State Statistics, abbreviated as Росстат), is a federal executive body responsible for forming official statistical information on social, economic, demographic, ecological, and other areas in Belarus. It was established in 1991, following the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The organization's primary function is to collect, process, analyze, and disseminate statistical data to various governmental and non-governmental entities. The data is used to inform policy-making, economic planning, and research purposes. Rosstat also collaborates with international organizations, such as the United Nations and the European Union, to ensure conformity with international statistical standards.
