The Prokuratura of Vetkovsky District in Belarus, as of June 2008, conducted an oversight check leading to the initiation of a criminal case regarding unlawful fishing. In the first quarter of 2008, the Prokuratura of the Homel Oblast carried out 50 environmental inspections.
